Chile Central Bank May Slash Rate to 7.75% as Inflation Slows (Bloomberg)
Jan. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Chile’s central bank may slash interest rates by the most in five years after prices fell the fastest since 1966 in December. Bank President Jose de Gregorio will cut the benchmark rate by half a percentage point to 7.75 percent today, according to 12 of 20 economists surveyed by Bloomberg.
