Korean Won Weakens as Share Slide Prompts Global Funds to Sell (Bloomberg)
Jan. 8 (Bloomberg) -- South Korea’s won weakened, snapping a three day gain, as stock slides in the U.S. and Asia damped demand for riskier assets. The currency, Asia’s worst performer of 2008, fell as foreign investors sold more Korean shares than they bought for the first time in seven days.

South Korean won falls to 15-day low against US dollar (Nasdaq)
(RTTNews) - The South Korean won that closed Wednesday's North American session at 1292.40 against the US dollar edged down to 1337.10 at 12:55 am ET Thursday. This set a 15-day low for the won. If the South Korean currency falls further, 1377.35 is seen as the next target level.
