Over 400 dogs of 50 different breeds were judged by two judges Enrique Fillipini from Argentina and R Nagendiran from India. It was a weekend that no dog would forget. The reason for this being the two-day dog show held at Palace Grounds.

Animal abuse case dismissed for timing technicality (WSLS Newschannel 10 Roanoke)
State police seized 63 dogs from former animal control officer, David Winesett last month. Winesett breeds and sells dogs from his Hillsville home. Police went there after recieving complaints about dogs being neglected.
