Wind Destroys Several Special Olympics Sailboats (FOX 24 Macon)
Lake Tobesofkee is the home to the Special Olympics Georgia Sailing Team. In 2008 when the Mother's Day tornadoes and storms ripped through middle Georgia the sailboats for the team were demolished. Luckily several companies and individuals stepped up and all the boats were repaired or replaced.

Darlington lowers ticket prices for Southern 500 (USA Today)
Darlington Raceway president Chris Browning says the historic track will reduce its $45 tickets by $10 for the Southern 500 on Saturday night, May 9. The price cut affects about 9,000 of its seats for the annual 500-miler.
