Orbcomm, LR-F set up satellite JV (Fairplay)
AIS DATA gathered from satellites will soon be available on a commercial basis following an agreement between US-based satellite service provider Orbcomm and Fairplay’s publisher, Lloyd’s Register-Fairplay. The new service will start in the first quarter of this year.

Spacehab Subsidiary Will Fly New Missions In 2009 Spacehab announced Wednesday its Astrotech subsidiary located in Titusville, FL was awarded two contracts totaling $3.2 million from United Launch Alliance (ULA) in support of the ground processing of Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites, GOES O&P.
