The web surpasses print Yellow Pages for finding local businesses, study sa (InternetRetailer.com)
Internet search has emerged as the most widely used means of finding local businesses, with 31% of consumers choosing to search online and 30% choosing to use print Yellow Pages or the white pages of telephone directories, according to a study by comScore Inc. sponsored by TMP Directional Marketing, a local search marketing agency.

Forty years ago today the Journal Inquirer became a daily afternoon newspaper and published its first edition, merging the weekly paper that had served the Rockville area (the Journal, founded a hundred years earlier) and the weekly that for the last few years had served South and East Windsor (the Inquirer).

Lake County Visitors Bureau says company improperly using its name to solicit ads (The Cleveland Plain Dealer)
The Lake County Visitors Bureau has warned businesses that its name is being used in vain. Bureau director Bob Ulas said United Metro Works, an Illinois-based company, solicited ads from businesses for a Lake County map.
