Breaking News: Snow emergency declared in Ottumwa (Ottumwa Courier)
OTTUMWA — The city of Ottumwa Snow Emergency Ordinance will go into effect at 5 p.m. today. Residents are reminded that while the snow emergency is declared, no parking is allowed on streets designated as “Snow Routes” until the emergency is lifted.

Eight men and seven women were arrested by police during a two-month operation that targeted the sex trade in downtown Maple Ridge. Undercover officers were used in the sting that began on Sept. 25, resulting in charges of communication for the purpose of prostitution against seven women.
