Prairie Burn 2003 (Knox College)
GALESBURG — Three years' of hard work — on the part of the plants in South Prairie at Green Oaks in central Knox County — went up in flames on Saturday, April 5. But the prairie will come back stronger, according to Stuart Allison, associate professor of biology at Knox College, who directed the burn at Knox's field biology research area.
