Tomatoes: Don't call the whole thing off (Worcester Telegram & Gazette)
As you would expect, there are numerous plant introductions that will be offered in 2009. There are viburnums, a score of tiarellas (foamy bells), hardy roses in a colorful variety types and forms, hostas, hydrangeas and tomatoes. Tomatoes? Are there not several hundred named cultivars of tomatoes currently being offered for sale? How could there be any aspect of tomatoes left to be explored?

GM's Asia-Pacific sales set mark (Detroit Free Press)
General Motors Corp.'s sales in the Asia-Pacific region rose 2.7% last year, setting a new company record, the automaker announced Thursday. The company reported that it sold 1,475,093 cars and trucks last year in that region.
