Arbitron agrees to alter radio ratings system (The Buffalo News)
Arbitron has agreed to overhaul its radio ratings system in response to allegations that minority listeners are undercounted, State Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo announced Wednesday. The agreement, which settles a lawsuit filed by Cuomo last year, requires Arbitron to adopt new standards to measure radio listening habits and to pay $260,000 to settle claims of fraud and illegality.
