Sligo doctors vow to defy HSE cancer order (Western People)
GENERAL practitioners in Sligo/North Mayo have said they will not heed HSE advice to refer breast cancer patients to one of the eight centres of excellence outlined in the National Cancer Control Programme.

In a co-ordinated operation against people trafficking and prostitution, gardaí, the PSNI and police in Wales yesterday raided a number of premises and arrested ten people. Of the seven arrested in the Republic a man and a woman remain in custody today. A man was also arrested in Newry, Co. Down.
