BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - The 35th annual Apple Butter Festival kicked off Saturday in Berkeley Springs. Many attended the festival to buy apple butter and eat country ham sandwiches and funnel cakes. The Pleasant View Community Center will sell about 180 gallons of apple butter at the festival, said Virginia Hessler, who was running the booth along with Carol Santmier.
