Chili Supper (KMID Midland)
People were enjoying music and a meal at midland high tonight. The Midland High choirs hosted their Chili Supper at the MHS cafeteria. They asked everyone for a five dollar donation before they dug into the grub. Then, after the meal, the choirs took the stage and gave the crowd a show.

Chili recipes put to the test (The Fort Dodge Messenger)
The competition was friendly for the most part. However, for the 25th annual Fort Dodge Chili Lovers Society Cookoff held Sunday, competition got a little heated, said Jerry Bergman, one of the organizers and founders of the cookoff. "It's a lot of fun and the competition adds to the atmosphere of the day," Bergman said. The rivalry went a little further for some participants.
