Hormone injection may prevent onset of post-traumatic stress disorder (New Kerala)
Washington, December 2 : An effective medical treatment to prevent the onset of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) may be just around the corner, thanks to an internationally recognised Tel Aviv University researcher in Israel who has found that administering an injection of the stress hormone cortisol shortly after exposure to a traumatic event may lower the chance of developing the condition.

AWOL Soldier from Texas Surrenders to Authorities (FOX 7 News Austin)
Private Trevor Loope from Austin has turned himself in to authorities after being AWOL for 11 months. Loope says he is suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and spent the last few months in Austin. Loope had tried to seek sanctuary in Ithaca, NY in accordance with a city law, but his request was denied. Loope spoke with FOX 7's Keri Bellacosa over the telephone on Thursday.
