Angola: Portuguese Library Offers Set of Publications (AllAfrica.com)
Luanda — A set of printing publications among them daily news-papers of the Portuguese Government from 1778 to 1986 and books will be offered on Thursday, in Luanda, to the National Library of Angola, by the National Library of Portugal, part of a collaboration between the two institutions signed in 2006.

Virginian-Pilot is off the market (Richmond Times-Dispatch)
The Virginian-Pilot is off the market. Landmark Media Enterprises said today it was suspending efforts to sell the newspaper and affiliated publications due to tight credit conditions. Vice Chairman Richard Barry III said Landmark will try again when the economy gets better. Landmark announced efforts to sell all its properties in January.

Mayor-elect seeking chief administrative officer (Richmond Times-Dispatch)
Richmond Mayor-elect Dwight Clinton Jones is placing his first “help wanted” ad. An ad seeking applicants for chief administrative officer of the city is being placed in local and national publications this week, said Kevin O’Holleran, a spokesman for Jones. The ad lists the salary as negotiable based on qualifications and experience, and says the position will remain open until it is filled.
