Abbott Labs announces plan to cut 1,000 jobs over next few years (Kenosha News)
Abbott Laboratories will cut 1,000 jobs in its diagnostics division over the next three years, including some in Lake County. The company disclosed Thursday in regulatory filings it would phase in the job cuts over the next 3½ years, with 100 of those jobs eliminated this year.
