Indy gets cosy with Daily Mail to cut costs (Financial Times)
The Independent newspaper has taken the radical step of moving into the same office building as the Daily Mail, in a drive to cut costs. In an effort to save an estimated £2m to £3m a year, Independent News and Media (UK) will move its reduced staff to the Kensington headquarters of Daily Mail & General Trust and share costs on functions such as information technology and personnel.
