Marching Bucs to host Pageant of Champions (The Palladium-Times)
Sept. 20 marks the 30th anniversary of the New York State Field Band Conference competition hosted by the Marching Buccaneers. Some of the nation’s finest high school bands have come to Joe Wilber Field in Oswego in that time along with thousands of students and fans.

The Centennial High School marching band went on a 10K fund raising march through neighborhoods on Saturday. The band accepted donations from the public and for $50 donations would stop at a house and play songs to raise funds to support the band program.

CURTIS: Turns out Rage Against the Machine is a marching band (Rocky Mountain News via Yahoo! News)
Onstage, Rage Against the Machine frontman Zach de la Rocha bounced up and down while screaming into his microphone. Music that sounded like an air- raid siren shook the Denver Coliseum, and thousands of fired-up fans pumped their fists in the air in time to the beat.
